Faster Than Light: Advanced Edition

Faster Than Light (FTL): Adavanced Edition is a new major update for FTL. This update add new feature to the original and is a free download for players who already own the original. It featured with some new technologies and events that make the game more fun and challenging. This game is also released on Ipad which features the new content. 

When this original game is released two years ago (September 14, 2012), I continuously play it untill I reached to the end.. If you love real time strategy game with epic sci-fi spacecraft battle theme you will  get addicted to this game. But what you should put it in your mind before trying that this game is kind of 'roguelike' fashion, which is the developer made it so hard to finish it even in easy mode.  It takes me a couple days playing until I beat  the final boss in easy difficulty level.

You will control FTL spaceship with several specific room and unique crew . You can upgrade your weapon, engine, shield, drone and other sub system  to take down any enemy spaceship either defend your self against circumtantial environment. 

The battle system is very fun, you can hack the enemy system, teleport your crew into the enemy spacecraft, or just shoot with different kind of weapon you have. You should use your advantage properly. As you make progress in the game, new ship will be unlocked and available to be played. Neither ship is better than other, each have distinct advantages over the other.

The graphic is 2D and the animation is very simple. For "graphic is everything" person, this $10's game is not worth buying.  But for the text based game fans,  I thought the graphic is quite good "simple and clean".It also has lovely electronic soundtrack, you gonna love it.
